Rough Days...

So, now that life has caught up to me, and I am feeling the overwhelming effects of being too busy, I took some time for myself last night. My laptop continued to kill my chargers, to find out low and behold the battery was sucking the life right out of them. So a few weeks ago I bought a new one, just to charge it, get it running, then allow it to sit and collect dust. I have been so busy, that my tired has blown a fuse and I may be attached to the jumper box for quite sometime. I am literally so tired that I cannot possibly function at any semblance of normal anymore. Between remodeling, my daughter's softball practices that continuously run half an hour late each night (so I sit in the car for 40 to 45 minutes waiting for her to come out), trying to get dinner cooked, keeping the house at a decent clean level, my son's antics with his new girlfriend, I am in over my head and feel like I must go to work, just so I don't have to work. Honestly, I have put my phone on do no...

Tomorrow Land

I sit here and constantly wonder to myself, how is this world going to change for the good? What can I do to help? How can I help the youth of today? How can I provide a better life for my children? These are regular thoughts creeping through my mind when I am not contemplating the plot lines in my books. (Well, besides, what am I going to make for supper that everyone will enjoy. Because we all know as mothers not only do we have to cook it, but no one else is going to help us decide. The answer is always the same, 'I don't know.') Either way, I know I am not the only person in the world to worry about things like this. I often feel like the girl from Tomorrowland. If you haven't seen the movie, here is a link to check it out.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNzukD8pS_s This is a great movie, setting aside the whole sci-fi side of it. It sends a wonderful message, yet I don't think many people either watched it, or got the hint from it. So here I am with my han...

Gun Safety Course Law?

Image
I don't know who wrote this, but it is a very good point of view. I know I have been spreading the word about being kind and showing love, but I have also stated the fact that these people, no matter who they are will always do what they want regardless of how much we try to stop them. Even if we decide to spend the time and money to allow the government to take away all our gun rights, these people will still continue to find either a gun or another way to bring about mass murder. The truth, if they are determined to do it, they will find away. We have seen this time and time again in the past. People will make bombs, hijack planes, drive vehicles into crowded streets, etc. so the mayhem will never end. So it is true, spreading kindness can help, but bad people will do bad things regardless. Here are somethings we need to look at in response to this: I do believe a psychology class or a mandatory mental health class (even if it is just a semester) should be provided to schools...

The Prologue... check it out!

Image
The Prologue has been born... Tell me what you think:             Once upon a time in a kingdom, long since forgotten, an Archangel fell in love with a human, creating the first forbidden love. Their passion for one another sparked a feud between brothers, but it also brought about the first child ever born, a Prince. As war began in the second Heaven, Samael dutifully served his creator, but mostly he fought to keep his secret love safe. His own brother, Lucifer took up an army of angels against him. Their creator, Elohim, stepped in and cast Lucifer down. Elohim forbid Lucifer and his followers to never leave the sanctity of the second heaven for their betrayal. For loving outside of his kind and producing the first child, Elohim took away Samael’s right to procreate by castrating him.                 Fearing for the humans E...

Mental Health In Our Schools

Image
I completely agree with this meme I saw posted on Facebook not so long ago, and my daughter is the one who shared this. She like many others in our school district, as well as all over the country, is being bullied, but she herself has bullied others. Resulting in horrible effects. She said some rude and cruel things about a girl in her grade, so she was then threatened physically by this girl. The end result from this: my daughter was afraid to go to school. She became so frightened by the threats from this girl she begged me to allow her to do cyber-school. For as long as I can remember, I have always been against home-schooling or cyber-schooling. I don't agree with it at all. I understand in certain circumstances it could work well, but I have only seen this type of schooling fail. Many people I know have done this, just to get out of school (I shake my head at the parents, because these parents are awful in every sense of the word). I know these people and most of them co...

Note to parents: END THE HATE!!!

"........" You must forgive me, those of you who care about the community, I must say something in response to unforgivable actions set forth by parents on Facebook. I have seen the cruelty that knows no bounds from parents this past week on our wonderful social media. Mostly mothers, have voiced their opinions to those who are more in need of our help. And to those mothers I must say this: Are you serious? I know you. You are the same exact people who will complain about bullies being in school. You are the people who demand something be done to these children for simple threats. You are the ones who want these children locked away and to throw away the key. I want you to stop, right now. For one, these children making these threats come from your community. Two, what if you found out this was your child making these threats? What would you do to them, coddle them, ship them off to boot camp? Think about the options lying in front of you right now.  These children need he...

One Community

I am so glad that many of you enjoyed my last post. I hope that you all take my advice and care for our communities. These horrible acts of violence plaguing our country must be broken down and seen for what they truly are. They are not random but rather they are growing more and more prevalent. Searching for answers from the government is a way to go. They need to help us provide safer schools for our children to attend, but they are the government. The government can only do so much, go so far in doing what is right for us. As we have all seen, the government can make mistakes, take its time, and sometimes they can't help us at all.  Yes, we need to urge our government to provide us protection, but if we have all learned one thing, the government does what it needs to regardless of how it affects us. So we do need to fight our battles with them, but right now we need to help those we love more. Just the other day, a threat was placed on a bathroom stall at our local school, a s...
