Sensitive Minds

I got to thinking last night, like most nights, but it revolved around a movie that was playing. Honestly I don't know the name of it, but it was about the mental issues of our soldiers because of the war. If you think about it we are evolving, mentally. Think about the olden days, men would go to war without a second thought and never had such issues with it. It wasn't until lately that all of these 'mental problems' really started to surface. I think as a whole in general we are becoming extremely sensitive to everything. The whole world is becoming offended by small insignificant things and that is okay because we as a world in general are just becoming sensitive minds. One thing that I do find kind of odd those is, we all becoming a bit disturbed though. We have all these 'mental issues' about the world around us, but one of the biggest watched things on tv is drama, mostly crime dramas, where people are dead. We are currently searching for the bad guys in real life and in tv shows. Our whole lives are centered around finding out who did this or who did that. We have become so wrapped up in believing that this person is wrong because they offended that person or that religion. We are so offended by everything nowadays that it is unreal. Our mental issues are caused by the general population having to treat something. They have to have something wrong with them. They are that way because this person sent them to war or they have this mental illness because this guy was killing innocent people and we had to stop them. People are relying so heavily on this mental illness stuff that it is unreal. How many Vietnam vets or WWI and II vets were diagnosed with PTSD? I'm just curious how this world evolved that quickly to realize that are brains are becoming so sensitive to the acts of war. Yes, war is slightly different than it was back then, but the effects should have had been the same on the Vets from years gone past. It wouldn't surprise me that these Vets did have the same issues, but the world is finally realizing the effects that it actually has on people's minds. Many vets had to live with the same mental issues that these military men and woman that are coming home with now, but they were brushed off I fear. So I hate for the world to say that these mental illness are just because of this war and blame the government for it. I think this is an issue that has been evolving just as our minds are. We are all becoming so sensitive to the world around us.
I think that is why the world in general has so many issues and gets so offended. Instead of dealing with the issues around us we just whine and complain until someone else takes care of these issues for us. Like the bullying in the school systems. They are trying different ways to deal with the bullying issues in different schools. They have gotten to the point now that I understand that they are sending children's parents to jail because of their children'ts actions. REALLY? How is that going to help the child? Then they have situations that they put the child into therapy, because that is always the case. Here is what I believe because, you know what, I don't know one person in my class that didn't get picked on for one reason or another. It is a part of growing up and life in general. How are these children nowadays that are being bullied actually going to survive in the real world if they cannot handle school. School is a  place for children to learn, not only get an education but learn what real life is like.
How many of you out there had something said about you, you got picked on in school? Did you survive? Did it in anyway prepare you for the real world? Just some questions that I would love to get responses to. One thing that I learn, and I taught my children. You have a bully, so what, ignore them and they will go away or stand up for yourself and they will all go away. It finally took some years, but my son finally stood up punched the kid. Now he doesn't have anymore issues.
I think that is enough for today. I know it was a lot of random thoughts and some of it makes no sense whatsoever, but thank you for reading.
